MONEY IN THE BANK + GETTING AHEAD OF SEASON 13

The stage is set for one of the most eclectic and unpredictable events of the year. The briefcases are prepped and secured, and we’re putting the final touches on a new set of Money in the Bank Flashback Special and Limited Edition cards. 

Let’s start there actually—wasting no time, here are the SIX new Special Edition cards you can expect to see when the new MONEY IN THE BANK limited-time event begins today.

Speaking of, you’re probably wondering what that event will look like—we're here to clear it up for ya. 

MONEY IN THE BANK in WWE SUPERCARD

Put as simply as possible, the new Money in the Bank event is a collection-set event: collect cards, climb the ladder, and grab the briefcase for the best rewards. You’ll be able to find all of the cards you need scattered throughout the game, as usual, but we’re giving you an edge this time, given that the event only lasts two weeks. 

Instead of needing to collect NEW copies of cards you may or may not have collected in the past, this collection set works off of the catalog—most players will have SOME progress done in the event the moment it kicks off. 

One more special detail: there are TWO ladders for you to climb in the event, leading to very unique Men’s and Women’s Division flip cards. When you receive these flip cards, they won’t be specific to any individual Superstar. Instead, they’ll be a powerful placeholder, using a “Superstar To Be Determined” image on one side, with the MITB briefcase on the other. Don’t fret, the cards are not broken. Once each respective briefcase is claimed at Money in the Bank, we’ll change the Superstar on the card to the recipient of the case. If you’re holding that Superstar-to-be-determined card, you'll want to cheer extra hard for your favored Superstar on Oct 10th. One more thing—once the Superstars who won each briefcase CASH THEM IN, we’re going to bump up the cards’ stats to be competitive with whatever the highest rarity is at that time. It could be a week, could be a year—we honestly have no idea—but we’re going to do it. So, consider these cards more than just powerful LEs that slot into your deck now; view them as a resource for your future deck, too. 

Speaking of resources…

You may know the new Season shuffle by now: A handful of new rarities drop alongside new modes. Big changes, exciting new SEs and LEs, and more. You start at the lowest base rarity and start climbin’. Pack by pack, bout by bout, you earn cards and XP to level up and make your deck shine with the best new-season cards. 

While we believe the new-season loop is one of the most fun and exciting moments of the year, we started noticing that it felt a little…jarring. A whole new power structure, new meta, all in one day. Still, the answer was never to make season launch SMALLER– we know how exciting it is to see the hundreds of new cards across new rarities. So, here’s what we decided:

Season 13 Tokens. 

Aha. Vigilant SuperCard players will recall that we’ve teased this feature through some posts on socials. Here’s how they work: 

Starting NOW, you can begin to collect Season 12 and Season 13 tokens (in fact, make sure you redeem the pack in the store today that has a few free Season 13 tokens) to begin your progress in Season 13. Throughout various modes and packs, you’ll find Season 12 tokens. On top of being able to spend these on some packs and cards now, you can save these up to exchange for a number of Season 13 tokens. While you’ll need to wait to use these until Season 13, we recommend prioritizing these so that you can get a head start the moment those servers come online. You can expect to trade these in for various packs and turn-ins, similar to how Reward Mania currently works. 

So, in a sense, your progress in Season 13 starts today. Grab the new MITB cards for cards that will be useful now AND in the future, and start accumulating Season 13 tokens to get a leg up on the rest once it launches.
